Audrey S. Bomberger, RN, Ph.D., FAAA

Audrey S. Bomberger, RN, Ph.D., FAAA

Dr. Bomberger has more than 35 years of nursing and administrative experience in the healthcare industry. She is board certified by the American Nursing Association, licensed as a Long-Term Care Administrator, and holds her Ph.D. in Health Service Administration.

Dr. Bomberger attained the rank of Colonel (Ret) in the United States Army during which time she served on a Congressional Task Force (1989-90) representing the United States Army Nursing Corp which conducted a feasibility study to establish a Federal College of Nursing in Washington, DC. She also served in the Desert Shield / Storm campaign from December 1990 to June 1991.

As Vice President of Clinical and Professional Services for LifeCare Management Services, LLC, (1996-2003) she was responsible for providing support and direction to 14 hospitals with total of 23 sites in 10 states. Currently she is President of Consulting & Education Solutions, Inc. (CESI) based in Reno, Nevada which provides JCAHO mock surveys, CMS validation surveys, current policies and procedures and numerous educational programs on patient safety, environmental plans, terrorism preparedness planning, and many other programs and serves as a Senior Clinical Operations Consultant at Morrison Informatics, Inc., providing her vast experience to assist clients with case management, clinical operations, and other key areas.

She has received a National Educational Award from the American Society of Health Education and Training of the American Hospital Association; was nominated for the 1983 John Connelly Mentor Award; is an Honorary Fellow of the Anglo-American Academy and appears in numerous editions of Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who of Women in the World, Who's Who in Nursing, Men & Women of Distinction, International Who's Who of Professional & Business Women, Who's Who of Professionals, and Who's Who in Medicine & Health Care.

Dr. Bomberger is the author of Radiation And Health: Principles and Practices in Therapy and Disaster Preparedness (Aspen Publication 1984) and contributing author to the textbooks entitled Medical-Surgical Nursing: Assessment and Management of Clinical Problems (Mosby Co. Publication 1983) and Disaster Management for Nurses: Assessment and Intervention (Aspen Publication 1986 - received American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year Award). Her journal publications include articles in The American Journal of Nursing, The American Journal of Infection Control, Nurse Educator, Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing, California Nursing Review, Medical Journal: Ad Libitum, Health Watch, and Caring for Life.
